
Secretary Duffy presented the infrastructure including, enhancing transportation safety, increasing investment in transportation infrastructure, accelerating the delivery of projects and solidifying relationships between states and developers. In the announcement, he outlined President Trump’s “America is Building Again” agenda, emphasizing transportation safety, faster project delivery through NEPA reforms and stronger state-federal partnerships to streamline infrastructure development. He also signed an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation to expedite permitting, and urged governors to assume NEPA responsibilities to cut red tape and reduce project delays.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, “our mission is to build as quickly and as much as possible. So, we’re working through a historic backlog as fast as possible to make sure we can get money out the door to all of you to make sure these projects are moving and moving quickly,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy.
