As the cost of rent and home prices swell, the share of young adults, aged 18 to 34, has risen to 31.8%, NAHB reports. The top five congressional districts with the highest rate of young adults living with their parents include New York, District 3, New York District 4, New York, District 1, California, District 38, and New Jersey, District 5. Alternatively, districts with stronger rental markets, also located in New York and California, as well as Texas, Washington, and the District of Columbia, had the lowest rate of young adults living with parents.
