Fresno, California, July 5, 2019 — Judges for the 2019 Gold Nugget Awards have named De Young Properties as a Grand Winner in its annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence, and draws nationwide and international entries. De Young Properties earned its Grand honors for De Young EnVision in the Best Innovative Energy Design category.

Now in its 56th year, Gold Nugget Awards is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation. It honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories. Located in Clovis, California, De Young EnVision is a collaboration led by De Young Properties and includes Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Pacific Gas & Electric Company and BIRAenergy. This community was the first grid-connected Zero Energy home community in Central California and the largest to be developed in the state of California at the time of the community launch in September 2017.
